Camp: Best Summer Ever
When school is out, the fun times are at the Y! Members get first pick from the hundreds of day camps at our branches, so start planning and get your deposits in! Get all camp info and register for camps here

Character Builder’s Open Registration
Call on us! The YMCA believes that family and youth development in our communities is a shared commitment. That’s why we offer our Character Builders Program.

For families at Torrey Pines Elementary, La Jolla Elementary, and Bird Rock Elementary Character Builders is on site before and after school care. Families at Curie Elementary and Doyle Elementary have transportation provided for and access to after school care at the Dan McKinney YMCA. 

These programs offer snacks, outdoor play, homework assistance, art and science activities, and literacy projects. You can register once open registration begins, May 7. To register, pick up a blank registration packet either from the listed schools or from the front desk of the Dan McKinney YMCA or email Allison Crooks, the Childcare Director for Character Builders, at [email protected] for a registration packet.

When you're either starting or getting back into exercise, having someone there to get you started and guide you can be key to establishing the habit of a regular routine. Introduction to Lacrosse
Saturdays May 19 - June 16 • 11-11:55 a.m. • Ages 5 - 14
Members $35 | Participants $50
Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing team sports in the United States, thanks to its relentless speed and nail-biting precision plays. This contact sport is an exhilarating way to build strength, cardiovascular endurance, and friendship with teammates. The YMCA is proud to offer several clinics and leagues for players around San Diego to learn and improve their skills. Click here to register for this clinic.

Youth Volleyball Class
Mondays May 7 - May 28 • 3:45-4:45 p.m. • Ages 7-14
Bump, spike and volley at the YMCA! Youth leagues introduce the fundamentals while emphasizing learning and teamwork over winning or losing, while more experienced players can play more competitive games with peers of similar skill. This clinic is a great way to improve and get ready for high school while making friends with teammates. 

Youth Rock Wall
Mondays May 7 - May 28 • 3:45-4:45 p.m. • Ages 7 - 14
Learn about rock climbing safety, proper climbing technique, bouldering, and strength training at this climbing clinic.

Hiring a personal trainer is one of the sure-fire ways to ensure you stay on track to meet your goals! Our trainers are certified, knowledgeable and friendly!
