Policy/courtesy reminders: 

  • Please refrain from using products with strong fragrances. Some of our members have medical issues that are exacerbated by the exposure to a variety of products used regularly in our locker rooms and fitness areas. 
  • Equipment etiquette: Please remember to wipe down the equipment after use in the fitness center. Spray the towel; then wipe.
  • Phone calls: Please, take your calls outside the fitness centers and group exercise classes. 
  • Keep it to 30 minutes on the cardio equipment if others are waiting.

Healthy Kids Day

Camp: Best Summer Ever
When school is out, the fun times are at the Y! Members get first pick from the hundreds of day camps at our branches, so start planning and get your deposits in! Get all camp info and register for camps here.

Share the Love, Love the Reward

Kids Night Out
Make it a date night while your youngster has a great evening at the Y! We've got you covered from 4:00-8:00pm, Saturday, April 14 & 28 at Mission Valley. This event is just for members ages 3 to 12. Fee: $25. See Kids Night Out

Classes at Cymer Digital Studio
Cymer Digital Studio at Mission Valley Y hosts monthly classes in computer basics, photo editing, video production, robotics and more. Coming up: 

Build Me Robotics - Choose the class for beginners at 4:00pm, Wednesdays, starting April 4 (ages 8-12) or the intermediate class, 4:00pm, Fridays, starting March 23 (ages 8-15).  

Photoshop - 5:00pm, Thursdays, starting April 12. Learn your way around Photoshop. Ages 18+

KickStart
When you're either starting or getting back into exercise, having someone there to get you started and guide you can be key to establishing the habit of a regular routine. KickStart is a free, 30-day program available to all members. Sign up for your appointment at the Welcome Center today! See KickStart.

Personal training
New clients can take advantage of a five-session package for just $199. Hiring a personal trainer is one of the sure-fire ways to ensure you stay on track to meet your goals! Our trainers are certified, knowledgeable and friendly! Choose land, aquatic or GRAVITY training in one-on-one, semi-private or small-group session packages. GRAVITY
You can do hundreds of different exercises on the GRAVITY Training System. These group classes meet weekly in Studio 2 and are a popular method of training for strength, balance and overal conditioning. Cara Beltran, [email protected], will arrange a demonstration for you prior to enrolling in a class. Fee required. See GRAVITY classes

Masters Swim
Our masters swim team has more than 25 practice sessions available every week. See masters swim.

Train in the Pool 
Training in water is one of the smartest ways to add strength and endurance without injury. Try our Pool to Slopes class to help you get in top shape for the ski slopes or jump in to enhance your running regime. If you are getting prepared for surgery or recovering from it, try Knee/Hip Rehab. Some people who take this class end up being able to skip surgery altogether. Fee required.

Get Sporty
Play basketball, volleyball or soccer in one of recreational leagues for adults. Register your team or join an existing one. New leagues starting all of the time. See sports

Orientations
Let us show you around the place! Sign up for a free orientation at the Welcome Center. Available for equipment, families and teens.

Frequent Y'er
When you visit the Y 12 times in a month, you could win a prize! Ask for your Frequent Y'er card at the Welcome Center.

For Your Children & Family

Family swim
Take a dip with the kids. We have special time set aside each week for family swim and water slide fun. See Family Swim on the pool schedule.

Skate
Mission Valley YMCA operates Krause Family Skate and Bike Park in Clairemont is 60,000 square feet of ramps and courses for all skill levels. From beginners to pros, the park attracts skate and bike enthusiasts of all ages. Memberships available, as well as session passes, lesson and skate parties. See skate.

Dance
See monthly sessions in ballet/tap. See dance.

Sports
Our youngest sports can learn skills and build confidence in weekly classes in basketball, T-ball, soccer, flag football or multisport. New sessions will begin at the end of February. See preschool sports.

Swim lessons

Y's Active Adults (Ages 50+)
