YFs newsletter | FAll 2015
IN THIS SEASON OF GRATITUDE I am sincerely thankful for our YFS friends, staff, donors and supporters who make it possible to change lives every day. The Holidays have brought many opportunities to give back to the community and we are honored to be part of them.
Special thanks to the staff at YMCA Camp Surf for providing a lovely Thanksgiving meal for over 50 of our youth and families. It was a wonderful opportunity to bring our programs together to share a delicious dinner and celebrate the season.
Our Kinship Family Day was held at Horse of the Sun Ranch, providing fun activities and bonding time for kinship families in East County San Diego. We are truly grateful for the friendship and support of Horse of the Sun Ranch.
After renovating space at the Palomar Family YMCA, our TAY Academy held a Grand Re-opening. The center provides a safe and welcoming environment for transition age youth in the Escondido community. Many thanks to the Board Members and partners who helped make that dream into reality, including our highlighted volunteer, Richard Richison.
We look forward to celebrating the Holidays, ensuring that our participants have a warm and welcome place to go. Again, THANK YOU, for helping make this work possible.
THANKSGIVING WAS CELEBRATED at Y Cook Community Kitchen with 50 of our youth and families participating. Special thanks to the staff at YMCA Camp Surf for providing a full turkey dinner!
