Reggae festival has deep roots in SD

If my memory and minimal mathematical abilities are correct, Monday’s 29th Annual Tribute to the Reggae Legends festival at the San Diego Sports Arena began way back in 1981 as the Bob Marley Day Festival. The first edition was held at North Park’s sadly now long-defunct International Blend coffeehouse, followed by a move to the Jackie Robinson YMCA, then downtown’s Golden Hall.
