Wellness Center Orientations



Let our trained Wellness Center staff help you get started on your wellness journey! Wellness Orientations and our F.I.T. 4 Me exercise support program are included with our YMCA membership. Appointments are scheduled in the Wellness Center Orientations teach new members how our equipment works and how their body works with the equipment.

We have 2 Orientation options to choose from:
  • 15 Minute Introduction Orientation: This will get you started in the Wellness Center!
    A Wellness Coach will introduce you to all the fitness programs that the Peninsula Family YMCA offers as well as a general orientation to the layout of the fitness center.
  • Hour Long Orientation: This orientation will help you establish a workout plan!
    Work one-on-one with a Wellness Coach to learn how our equipment works and how your body works with the equipment.

Family Fitness Orientations

A wellness center orientation designed for families with children ages 7-11 looking to work out together. Learning proper weight room etiquette and how to use the equipment, marked with a Y logo, both parent/guardian and their children will be able to use the wellness center with each other. You can schedule this orientation with any staff member and upon completion will be required to check in at the member service desk and receive the proper wristband for access to wellness center.

Teen Fitness Orientations


A wellness center orientation designed for youth ages 12-16 to learn proper weight room etiquette and how to use the wellness center equipment. You can schedule this orientation with any staff member and upon completion will be required to check in at the member service desk and receive the proper wristband for access to wellness center.

F.I.T. 4 Me Support Program

This program is designed to help you make lifestyle changes through the combination of a structured exercise program and personal coaching. The motivation, support, and accountability created from this program will help you achieve your goals while improving your health and well-being.

  • Choose from an 8 week, 10 week, or 12 week program.
  • Sign up for the F.I.T. 4 Me program at the Wellness Desk.
