The Community’s Need:We live in a
diverse local community of mixed age, ethnicity and income level with
over 25% of households having a total income under $30,000 per year. At
the Y, we know a safe environment, increased physical activity and
knowledge of healthy behaviors are key factors toward achieving a
healthy and fulfilling life.
Our Commitment:The Y is a
place for children to get active and explore their passions, to
recognize and articulate character values to become responsible and
healthy adults. With a focus on supporting values important to families,
the Y provides activities and services to appeal to all ages for
development of the body, mind and spirit.
To provide for
those in need and build a sense of belonging, the Peninsula Family YMCA
will distribute over $250,000 in direct scholarships and program subsidy
The Impact of Your Investment:Our Y enriches
the lives of 1 out of 11 households on the Peninsula and provides
subsidy to over 425 families to participate. When you invest in the Y,
