Class Descriptions

  • Aqua-fit (Deep and Shallow Water options) Build muscle and cardio endurance using the water as a way to support the joints and provide resistance while working out.
  • Aqua Interval A tough workout that utilizes intervals and high intensity activity.
  • Aqua Walk Build core strength, balance, and stamina without the impact. Water shoes and early risers required.
  • Aqua Zumba® A fusion of Latin and International music and moves in the pool. Gentle options to care for arthritic, pregnant or aging bodies.
  • Balance/Strength This total body toning class incorporates both Pilates and Yoga based exercises, incorporating the use of free weights and rubber tubing.
  • BodyPump® A pre-choreographed full-body workout program using light to moderate weights and rubber tubing.
  • Cardio Blast A high-energy class that takes you through a step routine without using an elevated step.
  • CoreFit Strengthen your abs, obliques, lower back, and more in this 30min class.
  • Cycling Pedal your way through a series of standing and seated sprints, fast flats, and intervals of various hills as you ride your way through a great cardio work out. This class will strengthen your legs and increase your cardiovascular fitness!
  • Dance! Cardio Mix Be energized to get your heart pumping with this high intensity and easy to follow cardio dance class. Learn and be exposed to different styles of dancing while starting the week off right with a burst of fun!
  • Exercise Lite This easy to follow low impact aerobics class is designed for our YAA members to improve all aspects of wellness while focusing on their cardiovascular and muscular strength and balance.
  • ExtremeFit Rigorous bootcamp circuits combining plyometrics, agility, strength, and cardio exercises.
  • Forever Fit Designed for active adults (55+) to increase strength using various pieces of equipment. Be ready for a challenge!!
  • Hi/Lo Aerobics Rhythmic cardio movement incorporating the large muscle groups with minimal impact on the joints.
  • Karate Instruction is devoted to traditional Japanese Karate. Benefits of Karate are self-defense, improvement of physical and mental health, stress reduction and self-confidence. *FREE for members, $35 per month for non members*
  • Length n’ Strength Combines ballet, yoga and Pilates techniques with a total body workout focusing on core strength and flexibility.
  • Moving For A Better Balance Teaches participants balance skills and good body alignment by using coordinated and flowing movements.
  • Pilates A traditional Pilates class focusing on core stabilization and flexibility of the hips and spine.
  • Pilates/Yoga Standing Pilates and yoga movements warm up the body, followed by a traditional mat-based Pilates series.
  • Stability Ball This total body workout class uses a stability ball, resistance bands, and dumbbells while focusing on increasing core strenth, balance, and coordination.
  • Step A high-energy class full of fun and easy “step” combinations designed to increase your cardiovascular fitness. Be ready for a great workout!!! Class winds down with resistance training, core strengthening, and stretching.
  • Strength Uses weights, stability balls, rubber tubing, medicine balls and your own body weight to increase muscular development and strength.
  • Yoga
                                    • Fusion Yoga This class incorporates several yoga styles to maximize the options for each participant while helping them find the rhythm of their body, the melody of their mind, and the harmony of their soul to create a symphony of their life
                                    • Hatha Yoga This class uses basic postures that work to release tension and stress, promote flexibility, strengthen, and restore peace of mind.
                                    • Power Yoga Find your inner Yogi while sweating your way to a strong body, mind, and spirit.
                                    • Vinyasa Yoga Dynamic flow of postures connected together by breath, moving into the posture and the breath that links the motion is as important as the pose.
  • Zumba® A fusion of Latin and International high energy music and moves. The routines are aerobic with combinations of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Come burn calories and have a blast doing it!!
  • Zumba® for PD, MS and Movement Challenges A slower paced Zumba class designed specifically for those who have challenges moving their body, but want to improve their wellness. Class is taught on a soft, but firm mat that can be protective during falls.
  • Zumba Gold® A gentler version of Zumba for those who need some spice in their life, but need to be kind to their bodies.
