No limit, no excuses
Roderick Sewell started swimming at the Y many years ago, and he shares his story in this video we shot at our pool in 2012. Since then, Roderick has interned here at the Y, and we're looking forward to having him around again while he trains for the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio!

BIG Congratulations to U.S. Paralympics bronze medalist (and Copley-Price Family YMCA employee) Roderick Sewell! What a great example for us all! Roderick (Florence, Alabama) took to the podium with a bronze as Team USA’s first medal winner of the day after a strong finish in the men’s 100-meter breaststroke S6 (1:40.59). "It's overwhelming to be here and it's getting us prepared for Rio,” Sewell said. “This is definitely an uplifting event to get ready for Rio. Overall I’m very proud of the way it went today. I've been struggling with this event for a while now, but I practiced and today it all came together."
Roderick Sewell won the 100-meter breast stroke gold at the Pan Pacific Para-Swimming Championships! See his interview on Swim Swam: http://swimswam.com/video-interview-roderick-sewell-road-gold-para-pan-pacs/
