Knowing CPR, how to use an Automated External Defibrillator, and basic first aid SAVES LIVES. The Mission Valley and Toby Wells YMCAs offer regularly scheduled classes making it easy to obtain these important skills. Classes are NOT APPROPRIATE FOR MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS.

Babysitter Training Course


This course, taken along with CPR for the
Babysitter, will provide a complete
curriculum for successful babysitting.


Learn phone skills, basic emergency
prevention measures, as well as how to
properly care for and entertain children.
All course materials supplied.

Please bring a snack and a doll or stuffed animal to class. Group sessions are available.

CPR for the Babysitter

Pediatric Basic Life Support is a must for
all babysitters. This course, along with
the Babysitter Training Course, will build
a strong, responsible and qualified
babysitter.

Babysitters will learn CPR for the adult, child and infant, management of foreign body airway obstructions, along with injury prevention and child safety. Participants should bring a light snack and a doll or stuffed animal. Group sessions are available.

This is a fun, interactive class to help you learn what to do if your pet gets sick or injured.

Policies

Please plan ahead:

  • NO REFUNDS unless class is cancelled by the Mission Valley YMCA. No exceptions.
  • Credit/Transfer requests to a future
    class must be made two weeks in
    advance of registered class.
  • All classes subject to close 48 hours in advance.


Please read all

descriptions and time requirements carefully.


Medical personnel are required to have American Heart Association Certification and AED (Automated External Defibrillator). Notify the instructor at the start of class and
you will be required to pay an additional fee of $15.00 to the INSTRUCTOR.
