YMCA PLANNED GIVING
Welcome to the Planned Giving web site for the YMCA of San Diego County. Just what is a Planned Gift? Generally speaking, a “planned gift” is a means through which a charitable gift is committed to a charity through a donor’s estate plan that comes to fruition after the lifetime of the donor. Usually one of the following methods is used:- Provision in one’s will or revocable trust.
- Life insurance plan beneficiary designation.
- Retirement plan beneficiary designation.
- Life estate gift (remainder interest in real property).
- Pooled Income Fund..
- Charitable Gift Annuity.
- Charitable Remainder Trust.
- Charitable Lead Trust.
The YMCA of San Diego County Established the YMCA Heritage Club to recognize individuals and families who have designated a gift through their estate to benefit the YMCA Endowment Fund on behalf of the association and/or one of its branches and/or programs.

Preserving the Heritage of the YMCA for future generations.
The YMCA Heritage Club is comprised of individual and families who believe strongly in the mission of the YMCA and help to preserve the good work of the YMCA through a direct gift or planned gift to the YMCA Endowment Fund. Gifts to the Endowment Fund may be made on behalf of the YMCA of San Diego County; one or more branches, or to support a specific program.
Annual Heritage Club Dinner
Each year, during the month of October, the YMCA of San Diego County hosts its Annual Heritage Club Dinner. The dinner is an opportunity for Heritage Club members throughout the county to renew old friendships, meet new members, and to be updated on the good works of the YMCA and the status of its Endowment Fund. New Heritage Club members are introduced and receive the YMCA’s Heritage Club memento.Common Gift Vehicles
