3D box IMMERSION CAMP AT THE YMCA
3D Lacrosse is looking to bring your game to the next level. At the box immersion camp, the focus will be on player development and lacrosse IQ. During the five days you will see dramatic improvements in your game. The tempo of practice and the box environment creates situations that force you to get out of your comfort zone. We will bring in real box goals and have our goalies dressed in the proper equipment giving you the real box experience by shooting on 4x4 nets with box goalies.
Along with getting your 3D Box training you and your teammates will learn Box nuances. Included will be 5 man offensive, 2 man game, Box man up, Box man down, Face offs, transition offense and defense, on ball screens and picks, off ball screens and picks, and total team concepts. All your box training will lead up to playing a game at your specific age group during one or more of your sessions.
Constant repetition and hundreds of touches in 5 days will help you learn these new fundamentals and bring them home to use on the field. There will be 25+ hours of box lacrosse training over the 5 day camp.
Skill development at the Box Immersion Camp will have a focus on: Finishing / Faking / Catching in traffic / Team defensive concepts / Deceptive shooting / Feeding / Defensive footwork / Dodging in tight confines / Cutting / Cycling / Picking / Screening / Power Play.
