SWIM MEET INFORMATION

Swimmers' responsibilities:

Arrive 15 minutes before warm up times.

Check-in with the meet clerk as soon as you arrive.

Find the team canopy and your coach.

Get ready for warm ups.

After warm ups, check your heat and lane assignments.

Meet with your coach before your event for final instructions.

Arrive to the blocks 2 heats early and be aware of which lane you are swimming in.

Cool down with 200 free and then meet with coach to review your race.

Parents' responsibilities:

Arrive on time.

Help with team assignments: timing, setting up canopies, etc.

Bring chairs and food.

Assist first time competitors and parents.

After warm ups, check your heat and lane assignments.

Keep the team area clean and organized.

What to bring to swim meets:

Food: Healthy snacks and plenty of fluids. No SUGAR or SODA during the meet.

Swim gear: Riptide caps are mandatory. Caps are available for purchase from the coaches. Riptide suits are optional.

Books or homework for optional entertainment.

Chairs and warm clothing.

How can parents help with team assignments?

Help out with timing during meets.

Become an official.

Volunteer to bring the canopies.

Help keep the team area clean and organized.
