CAMP Registration information


Welcome to YMCA day camps, where we are dedicated to improving the quality of human life and helping all people realize their fullest potential as children of God through the development of spirit, mind and body.

We are an American Camp Association (ACA) accredited camp, which means that we meet or exceed the highest standards in camping services.

Our camp line-up is ALWAYS full of fun and new adventures! Look for camp opportunities at our Border View and South Bay branches.

Our dedicated, experienced, and energetic staff team hopes that your camper will join us as we provide a safe, inspired environment where they will create memories that will last a lifetime. At the Y, we are for youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

Registration Process

The South Bay Family Y and Border View Family Y offer "early bird" pricing on all Day Camps. This pricing lasts up to the TUESDAY prior to a camp session start date and will go up to normal pricing the Tuesday prior to a camp's start date


Register on-line at www.borderview.ymca.org Simply select the camps you are interested in and pay with your credit card. Please note on-line registration is only available up to noon on the Friday before the camp’s start date.

If you have a first-time camper we require registering in person at one of our locations. This will enable us to obtain a hard copy of your registration for our records.

In Person

Register at the Welcome Center at the Border View Family YMCA. Campers must have a completed waiver and medical form for summer 2017 on file. Documents may be completed online or in person at the branch.

We invite all of our families to become members of the YMCA of San Diego County. Campers who are part of a family membership will receive a member discount of up to15% on each camp they attend! Family memberships also include access to multiple facilities across the county. Spend time enjoying the pool this summer as a family and exercising and staying healthy.


If space permits, deposits and payments may be transferred to another day camp up to one week prior to either the week registered, or the week transferring to, whichever is first. Deposits may not be combined or transferred to the same camp. If a transfer is
desired once your camper’s week begins, a conversation with the Day Camp Coordinator is required. Transfers will not be accepted after noon the second day (Tuesday) of the camp week, unless extenuating circumstances exist.


  • Before the start date of each camp session: 100% voucher or refund (customer’s choice) less $25 deposit
  • After the first day of camp: 75% voucher or refund (customer’s choice) less $25 deposit
  • After the second day of camp:$0 refund or voucher (Medical/special circumstances at the Camp Director’s discretion)
Vouchers may be used by any member of your family for any YMCA of San Diego County program.


We are dedicated to helping all families enjoy our Y. If you need financial support to
participate in camp, and are interested in seeking a camp scholarship, you may download
an application at BorderView.YMCA.org, visit the Border View Family YMCA or call
619.428.9622 for more information. Please allow two business days to process your
scholarship request.

Special Assistance and One-on-One Aides

No child should be without a camp experience. We strive to accommodate all campers into our programs. However, our capacity to accommodate children in need of special assistance will depend upon which camps are best suited for your child and the resources we can provide with one-on-one buddies and inclusion aides. Please note: special
assistance for campers is established to assist youth in a group care setting.

Requests must be made prior to registration if your camper will need special assistance. In order for us to properly plan for camp, all requests for special assistance need to be made by Monday, May 22 to be considered for Week 1 of camp, or one week prior to your desired camp start date.
